I support alternative energy. Everyone knows that fossil fuels will not last forever, and I believe that it will take a combination of many alternative energy sources to replace the nonrenewable energy sources. It will take many years to this conversion, because we are so deeply rooted in the use of fossil fuels.
Technology for converting solar energy into electricity is for many years, but most homeowners cannot afford to 20 to 25 years of repayment of their investment. I'm not really convinced yet of biodiesel or ethanol ('ll flood it through pipes); It's hard to think how many acres of agricultural land would need to achieve a significant reduction in our need for oil or the amount of energy required to produce in comparison with the amount of energy it creates. They can survive without government subsidies?
Recent events in the Middle East again to send a warning signal: we have to be energy independent. Why can't we further exploit our own natural resources while we continue to develop affordable, an alternative fuel? We have a great all natural gas reserves in the US (as opposed to charging stations); In addition, we have the technology and the use of this fuel in our vehicles. It is cheaper, cleaner and more efficiently than gasoline on fire. And what a huge deposits of shale and oil sand in several places in the United States?
Development of own resources is to reduce its dependence on the unstable foreign Governments, create jobs, give us time to develop the available renewable energy and helps with the trade balance.
The way we all make a huge difference in the use of fossil fuels-if we really tried to be so wasteful.
